Every Exit Begins with an Entrepreneur
Subscribe

For private companies, M&A transactions currently represent the vast majority of exits. While IPOs remain scarce, the venture model has embraced the acquisition as the predominant path to liquidity. Here at SRS, we think it’s important to remember that every one of these transactions begins with an entrepreneur and an idea. As we mentioned last year, SRS has committed 1% of our distributions to charitable organizations and designated the Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Bay Area and the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado as the first recipients. Today, we’ve kept that promise.

With SRS offices in the Bay Area and in Denver, these organizations are certainty part of our physical community, but our alignment goes deeper. The Foundations help entrepreneurs give back to their communities through allocations of stock that become valuable when their companies exit. The exit may be the culmination of the entrepreneurs’ hard work and the liquidity event for the shareholders (including the Entrepreneurs Foundations), but it is only the beginning for SRS.

As our business continues to grow, we’d like to recognize the entrepreneurs for their commitment to bringing products to market and creating value. SRS is a sponsor of the Entrepreneurs Foundation Reception in the Bay Area on September 16th. We hope to see you there!
